Violence in homes happens behind closed doors and remains a mostly invisible problem. Yet its consequences are far-reaching – affecting women and girls’ health, well-being and impacting families and communities. 

To end violence against women, we must prioritize, invest in and implement preventive measures alongside with community support resources for survivors. Research and the development and testing of novel prevention approaches are needed to achieve lasting change.
